heater box question
« on: December 26, 2014 - 05:53:04 PM »
Has anyone took A/C heater box out and put in a non A/C box? I know the firewall opening is different for the blower motor and heater hoses but does the blower motor stick thru the firewall in the same spot? Are the mounting screws for both boxes in the same spot?

The heater box motor locations are totally different where they come out.

Thanks, I see that now. I think I'm going to have to see if I can find a piece of firewall off a non air car and replace the air cutout.

Under the drivers side clutch pedal area is a hat for the fresh air ducting that needs to be added as well.

Yes, that I know about and I have the parts for that. Do you think you could trace the non a/c blower cutout, heater holes and mounting bolt holes on a 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper if they will fit and send it to me maybe as a word document or something so I might make a plate from sheet metal and fit it to the firewall. No hurry, if you get a chance. Thanks.

I have my heater box and blower out for a restoration.  Car is a 70 'cuda.  I can do this if you still need it.  Message me your e-mail.

Can't do it. Hemi is too much in the way.
