News:
that's about right my 70 440-6 cost me a tad under $4000 (not optioned that well) and my 70 hemi cuda convert was a tad over $6000 ( optioned very well infact it had crap I woun't have ordered)I was told it was $400 less than a decked out Cadillac in that year
This came up in discussion the other night. If you took three equally optioned cars, let's say 71 Challenger, what would the price difference be between a 340-4, a 440-4 and a Hemi?
There's no such thing as a 1971 440-4 Challenger
if your talking current market http://www.nadaguides.com/Classic-Cars/1971/Dodge returned these #s with no options addedAVERAGE price 340-$23,900, 440-6-$57,800, HEMI-$152,800. Found the original #s to doing a little Googlin. The base price for a Challenger R/T in 1971 was $3,273440 6-bbl. V-8, $253.20Hemi option $892
$892 in 1971 = $5,143.74 today.
