This is my very special 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T. Just as when it was discovered, it requires a close look at this car to realize just how unique it is. Ordered new at Courtesy Dodge in Raleigh North Carolina, this car was ordered with the R/T package, a 440 4bbl engine and the bullet proof Torqueflite automatic transmission. The desirable high impact colour of Plum Crazy Purple was selected with the white longitudinal striping and white interior finished off with what most initially believe is a white vinyl top, but it is in fact on closer inspection the very rare EW1 white painted roof(V02)! The uniqueness of this combination and the idea that it could in fact be the only Challenger ordered this way managed to attract my attention to how deserving of a painstaking restoration this car underwent.
