Powermaster 7018 Alternator Question
« on: January 23, 2015 - 03:23:08 PM »
The Powermaster website lists the 7018 as a 50 amp alternator. Summits list a Powermaster 7018 as a 90 amp alternator and Yearone shows a PM60 that appears to be a Powermaster 7018 as a 90 amp alternator. What's the deal here....are they all 7018s built to different specifications? Does anyone know or has anyone checked the idle output of the 7018?

John

I saw one powermaster alt last almost 1 hr before it failed !!
Go to a local rebuilder , I bought probably 40 or more over the years from one guy , he was awesome , could build anything to the spec needed or come up with a better solution to make it work & he had a 1 year local warranty .

LOL....so, tell me how you really feel! Actually, I have heard quite a bit of negativity toward the Powermaster units. I do know someone personally that says his Powermaster alternator has been great, though. At this point I'm leaning towards a 100 amp Tuff Stuff unit.
