Rally Dash Resto ?
« on: March 01, 2015 - 04:04:01 PM »
Took my Challenger out for a ride yesterday and the speedo took a crap. When I restored the car everything in the dash worked fine-even the clock. First the tach went and now the speedo. All the other gagues work fine and the clock is still ticking and keeps perfect time. I was thinking of just sending it out and having it completely gone through and brought up to date. Anybody have any experiences with any of the vendors out there and cost estimates ??
Thanks

I got a quote from Redline for my Rally dash, $1250, but that includes changing to a GPS speedo, new tach, and change the amp to volts, and a new quartz clock.

Redline is doing ours, GPS, voltmeter, etc. About a 3 month turnaround right now.

Mine took a dump, so I bought a new one from OER. It lasted 500miles. I then sent my original one to Redline and had it rebuilt. I can't find the receipt, but I think it was in the $300 range.

David Pattik at performance car graphics did my clock, speedo and tach
Work was done about three years back

All granges are working 100%

His prices were very reasonable.   Not out of line at all

Great guy and stands behind his work

I just got my rally dash back from Dave Patek at Performance Car Graphics about 2 weeks ago. Replaced old crapped out clock with quartz, rebuilt all gauges, all switches, refaced all gauges & lens, tach, speedo, and refaced the entire thing's wood trim including the rally section and the wiper/headlight section. He also installed the new regulator, clock sheath and 2 of 3 new light tubes. Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic. $1,200. Also super guys to deal with-no b.s. just up front about things. My AAR has a 2-speed wiper motor from the factory (even though many experts say they were not made that way) and Dave questioned me about it to verify.

I loved it so much I then sent him the rally dash from the Superbirdnorth.com superbird for rebuild-just got it back and ready to install as last mechanical item before test road trip next month-big Superbird to alaska trip is in June.
