type of glue vinyl to door panels
« on: February 10, 2015 - 05:55:20 AM »
For in a '73 Barracuda, the door panel are not the best. Really want something custom. So I'd like to glue upholstery vinyl to the door panels. Using a set of panels that have already started to chalk. Figuring on sanding some to give the adhesive a better grip. Looking for suggestions of what brand of adhesive may work best? Thanks in advance.

I just recovered my door panels yesterday! I went to Menards and bought some Lock-tite spray adhesive and gave it a liberal spray on both the vinyl and the door panel and let it set for a few minutes then put them together (it is re-positionable for a few minutes ) on the back side I did the same thing plus a few short staples around the edge.
