Hey...All E bodys with Alterktion front and rear.....
« on: March 10, 2015 - 07:04:10 PM »
Looking to see what you guys have come up with as far as wheel and tire size with the RMS suspension . I'm looking to run 19 x 9.5 with 295/35/19 in the rear and 18 x 9with 275/35/18 up front.. I think I came up with 6.5 backspace on the back, and Bill from RMS said 6.25 on the front.
But then I heard that no more than 5" backspace on the front

So what are you guys running?....

I tried a test wheel on mine with moser Dana 60 and just the outer wheel lip slightly trimmed. The wheel was 18x10 with a 295/35/18 and it fit with about 1/2-3/4 inch clearance on the outside with 6.4 backspace. On the front Got a stock mustang 17x8.5 with 245/45/17 on it now. Looks small and could go a lot bigger. No idea of the backspace on the front. I am also curious.

I think he maybe 3 different rms front suspensions. Each with different offset needs. Also I think each brake system has different thickness which will effect your backspace. I have an older rms and used 6.75 backspace on 18x9.5 inch wheels.I may could have squeezed another .50 inches easy inward.
I used the older rear he was selling. The airbar, air ride whatever it's name and am running 18x12 with 7 inch backspacing. Had to trim the wheel lip to stuff 335 back there

Ken D... What did you have to do to the front fenders to get the bumper to fit like that

Sweet Ride....
