What is Stock AAR Cuda Front Ride Height?
« on: March 10, 2015 - 11:08:52 PM »
Does anyone know what the stock front ride height measurement is for a stock AAR.  Either to the Ball Joint/TB Socket or Fender Lip

I would guess it's the same as any other Cuda :dunno:

It's my understanding that the front end height was the same as any other Barracuda.  The rear end height was higher on the T/A and AAR.

1.125" IIRC, measured at the t-bar socket, which is higher than the lower ball joint.

it should be around 24" at the fender lip & should be lower than a stock Cuda as the tire size was E60 not F 60

The stock 15" tire size on ALL non-Hemi E Bodies was E60X15 NOT F60, in fact F60's were not available on any E Body without a Hemi :2cents:

No spec for the rear, at least from the service perspective. There is a factory number, but I've only ever seen one document with that info and it was never put in the Field Service Manuals.

The variability in tire diameters is why the factory never specified a ride height at a particular body panel but instead referenced it off suspension components, whose spatial relationship doesn't change with alternate tire sizes.

The OE rear tire size was G60-15.  The only car to roll off the line with two different tire sizes (E60 in front and G60 in rear).

AAR's and T/A's use different rear shock plates then all other 70 E Bodies to accommodate for the extra height in the rear :2cents:
