Need pics 4 speed install cuda
« on: June 17, 2015 - 04:14:41 PM »
Can someone please provide some good, clear, big somewhat, pics of where the bracket goes on the front frame rail?

Also, when cutting for a four-speed hump, how much do you go in from scribing around the hump?  1"?  Can someone provide good pics installed both top and underside (w/o the tranny installed)?

Here are a few pictures of mine,

I used 3/16"  rivets and seam sealer top & bottom instead of welding it in, just in case I want to go back.

When I cut mine I left about 1/2 to an inch for welding. After I was done sometime later I read an article that said only cut whats in the way. The more metal you leave the stronger it will be. I don't know if that's true but I kinda wished I had checked first to see how much metal I could have left.

Here are the pictures of the Z-Bar Pivot bracket.  There is a small notch on the frame rail (all cars have it). It really only goes in one way, so it is pretty easy.

What kind of rivet gun did you use?  I'm looking for a good one to get the job done

As far as leaving metal in there, would you be concerned with leaving a pocket for stuff to sit in from the road? What do the factory cars look like? Thanks
