Trying to wrap up all the unfinished business to get my engine fired. This past Sunday afternoon I spent connecting the clutch linkage. Push rid between the pedal and z bar went in okay. However, the angle of the clutch adjuster rod to the fork doesn't look right.
Trying to get all the pieces together, there was absolutely no way to get the rod into the fork with the adjuster grommet in place. The angle was just to severe to get it to seat. So I pull the grommet and can finally get it to seat. I turn down the adjusting nut against the washer, but the angle of this thing does not look right. I double checked the adjustor rod against the manual and Brewers website and according to the documents and pictures, it is the correct one, but that angle.... On top of that, the rod is too long and is hitting the header tube, so I am not getting full pedal travel.
What do the 4 speed guys here think and what would you suggest? Obviously need to cut it down some, but the angle has me scratching my head without some funky bends in the rod.
