Door Glass Guides
« on: March 03, 2015 - 11:21:26 AM »
I'm looking to replace the in-door glass guides in my 71 Cuda. The ones I see in my door are the 2 fuzzy type ones which I hear are not yet available anywhere. There is one "guide looking metal piece" that is closer to the front of the door with no fuzz or plastic on it.

I tried local National Moparts and they don't carry nor know where to get them.

Classic Industries sells black plastic guides but I have no clue where they go and they say you need 2 per door.    Do they replace the fuzzy guides? Any idea where the plastic type goes? Thanks.

Go to the dollar store and buy Velcro strips with adhesive on the back . Use the fuzzy side and wrap the guide/bracket. I don't think anyone makes these yet?

The one that doesn't have anything on it is probably the "up stop" bracket.  There should be a plastic pin sticking out of the door glass that contacts the "up stop".
