833 23 spline with a 512 stroker?
« on: March 12, 2015 - 01:50:58 PM »
I have a 440 that is being built into a 512 stroker. I have a 23 spline 833 I was planning on rebuilding, but wondering if it will last behind the 512 or will it be just a matter of time before I grenade it? Are there any parts I should be looking into buying to strengthen it during the rebuild?

I won't be doing the rebuild myself, just looking for some information on what parts may be required or if this is even usable for my application.

You will start having problems with HP over 500 and hooking up the rear end.

Once you get the car to hook up all sorts of things start to fail: rear end, driveshaft, trans, etc.  :burnout:

Anything can be broken But i used the weak Alum case 833 OD 23 spline behind my 440 duster & it pulled the front wheels 2' or better on every pass at the track on slicks on sticky prepared tracks while dropping the clutch at around 4500 RPM , if it is good internally I doubt you will break it
