Since no one answer the question about the auto.... The first thing you will need to do is remove the torque converter snout bushing from the back of the crankshaft. Mine was a pain in the butt to remove. There are some pictures in my build thread:

Yes you will need a pilot bushing. I think you can use either Timken part number FC69907 or Dodge part number 53009180AB

That will bolt it up, but with no VSS signal and aftermarket controllers not yet available, your not going anywhere.

He is using a 6-speed so no need for a controller and vss is only needed for a speedo easy solution available.
Especially if it's a t56 magnum
