What is your opinion with this Cuda for sale at Streetside, particularly the dash VIN tag.  Looks odd to me.

I Think it just looks like a terrible restoration job of an original tag :2cents:

Car has lots of small issues like the inside of the trunk being painted black etc....The underside looks to have had a lot of poor detailing etc...Think they're asking top dollar compared to what it's worth. :2cents:

That's normal, you really aren't going to find a good deal going through a dealer.
They have to pay the bills too........

for a decent hemi roadrunner, that is their asking price. I think if you could get it for 65-68 k without ebay fees (private) then that is a pretty good deal

I agree...that's what I've seen them priced at after looking further. Still seems low compared to other models.

The 68-69 Hemi Road Runners are some of the highest production Hemi cars therefore do not command high prices. A "starter Hemi" for a collector if you will...

I think the VIN tag has been restored and the silver paint to re color the embossed numbers is a poor job. There was never any paint on the embossed numbers because the silver metal was exposed to a small degree from the stamping. However I don't understand the 340 sticker below. There is an almost for sure way of telling by matching the core support number, the cowl number and the block and transmission numbers to tell. Although this would go a long ways in verifying the cars authenticity but a sly rebody can foil that as well.
