Restoring a 1970 cuda and wondering if the console of the 71-74 e bodies would fit or what (if any) differences there are?

The console in a 70 E Body are unique for 1970 only. They have a large opening at the rear of the console to store the seat belts when not being used. Early in the 1971 model year they changed to the rear mounted ashtray, however all years of consoles will fit.

Also, the top plate has one less screw on 1970's compared to the 71-74's.  Like Alan said, they will all fit, but 70 is a one year only part.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

And '70 only is $100-$125 more typically, so unless you really picky or going for a concours build I would suggest putting that $100 towards something else.

Not so, the fifth hole was added in 1972. 71 consoles only have four holes for the top plate.
