The good news,,, its not the engine or trans.
I dropped the belts off the Alt and PS this morning, fired it up and its as smooth as a gravy sandwich!!!!! Put the PS belt back on, same gravy sandwich. took the fan off (flex fan) put the Alt belt back on and vibration back to some degree. put hand on Alt and run the revs up and its buzing vibrating like a biotch, bit hard to test the fan. Loosened the Alt belt, no difference, bearings in the Alt are great, no movement. I did re-build the Alt yesterday as the one that was in the car was dodgie. the front bearing housing was flogged out and the bearing was just floating, one of the three bolts that holds it all togeather was stripped etc so I replaced the housings using the old stator, free spins nicely now but, has this vibration.
Any idea's?
