Just wanted to update everyone and thank all of you.  By the way I realized today I need to setup a notification email so I know when someone post to a question.  But anyway, got the motor back and put back in.  I am still working with a trans issue of angles.  It has a Tremec.  I have it as high as it can go.  Matter of fact the shifting bracket is almost up against the frame cross member in the tunnel.  So it can't go any higher.  It is not touching the tunnel so raising the tunnel will do no good unless I cut the cross member part of the frame.  I have a 5 degree downward tilt of the trans with a half of degree upward on the driveshaft.  And a 4.8 degree down on the rear end.  I have 5 degree shims on the rear.  But the oil pan is rubbing on the center link.  that has been a problem in the past.  Anyway Carolina motors put a different oil pan on it, one that they said they put on all there crate 440's have never heard of a issue with any of there buyers.  I get to be first apparently.  So I am at a cross road.  Do I get another oil pan possibly a road race pan.  $400 bucks Or shim the steering gear box and alter the center link idler on the passenger side to match the steering gear box.  The motor has poly lock motor mounts.  Does anyone know if they could be shorter there by  lowering the engine a hair?  Are they taller.  Or should I try to shim the motor mount.  It doesn't seem like I should shim the motor mount as there is one stud holding it.  I am now open for suggestions.  Don't hesitate let them fly.  I can take it.

Someone else posted a page out of a shop manual saying to grind the hole toward the front of the car to lower the idle arm on the passenger side.  I am thinking I would have to do this to keep the center link level would I not?

Well believe or not I fixed.  I took my big hammer and tapped on the center link.  Dented the pan a little, so I dropped the trans all the way down and hit a few more times.  Raised the trans back up and I now have about a 1/4" of space.  On with the show
