I had a hard time too deciding and eventually went to POR15 the entire underbody. This will not be exposed to the sun (I hope) and many have done the same thing recommending me to do it also. It is a great finish and hard to chip. I sandblasted the bottom as POR15 loves to adhere to this prep.

That would be a great idea if the car was black. The POR15 is a lot more durable then paint  :thinkerg:

I am not doing a concourse restoration but a durable street car. The final color is not decided as of yet but I am thinking of HOK Burple. The black wheel wells won't stand out much as I plan on filling them with the old 15 x 8 rally rims with 60 series on the back and 70 series on the front. I am not worried about turning as this will be more of a cruiser and quick burn out car. I wanted something that will protect me against these Maryland salted roads so the POR15 was my choice. The interior is painted the same with POR15 tie coat to put whatever color I want over it.
