    BB head casting date questions and more

    I thought I had the original 906 heads on my 1970 440 Challenger but the cast date is Oct-11-68. Car was built Oct-3-69, can the heads have been cast almost a year earlier? Also there is an "F" cast underneath one intake runner, what does that mean? The heads have the same casting and date numbers, 2843906-4 and 10118.

    Good info, thanks RzeroB. Wonder why this page didn't turn up in google? Ok, not that it matters that much but the heads have probably been replaced it seems like.
