clutch pedal stop bumper question

So I don't have a stop bumper for my clutch pedal, and the pedal gets stuck on the floor, is this why?

That's not your problem. Do you have that big fat spring on the pedal assembly? Pressure plate could be bad also. Any binding in the linkage? How's the plastic bushings in the z bar? Front bearing retainer could be worn also. Just a few thing to check.

I'm not a 4-speed guy but I've read that with certain style clutches, you don't need the big return spring.

You don't need the pedal overcenter spring if you have a diaphragm style pressure plate.........you do need it if you have the 3 finger Borg & Beck style pressure plate.

Everything is new and its a Borg and beck so it has the big spring.  Not sure  it may just need adjusting but everything else seems smooth. The pedal just doesn't want to come up.

Are you sure the throwout bearing is positioned right?

If its clipped in to the fork correctly can it be positioned wrong?

the clutch cannot overcenter so it should have a lot of pressure to push the pedal back up , something has to be binding
