Is there a 5 or 6 speed automatic trans available???

I have a 70 Challenger with a 340 and a 727, I'd like to have a 5 or 6 speed automatic trans to replace the 3 speed 727. Does such a beast exist?

The easiest way to do this is with the Gear Venders unit , it allows for 6 speeds by using direct or OD in all 3 existing gears & requires no modification to the  floor other than maybe a couple of hammer blows for added clearance . , The other option is a newer computer controlled RFE545 but this requires major surgery to fit

Thanks for the info, I would really like a 5 or 6 speed to make it easy. The OD does not seem like a great option. I'm not into major surgery at this point. Sooooo, we'll leave her alone for now.

I would believe the opposite , the GV OD is a very simple & effective swap & is a good option , shortent the driveshaft maybe rework the exhaust cross over a little & good to go , the GV is very reliable & strong
