My turn for ignition key cylinder removal/swap
« on: May 13, 2015 - 10:57:29 AM »
I searched and found a number of responses but they are all older and the pictures don't show up.

I'm swapping from manual to power steering and would like to swap the original key cylinder from the old manual steering column to the new power steering column.

I think I can get the crush can pulled off OK and have read it's possible to remove the turn signal switch and pry something up and get to the key cylinder release pin?

I need some good pictures as to what I'm up against.

If anyone has saved a previous post with pictures or could give me a working link I would greatly appreciate it.

Send me a PM with your email and I will send you a PDF of a steering column rebuild...it will solve all your problems.
