Setting up my FAST EFI 2.0 HELP!!!!!
« on: March 20, 2016 - 10:13:29 AM »
ive got a 2008 srt8 6.1 hemi and im useing the fast 2.0 with an XIM moduel. my questions are :
1 what should base ignition reference angle be set to?ive set it at 50 but it seems to ping a little on hot takeoff.
2 ive had to set it up to fire in batch fire mode and would rather set it up for sequential but in sequential it misfires on 3 cylinders. what may i have set wrong?
3 i have a really bad dead spot when i throttle hard from idle and no matter what i set the a/f goal to its always there.
4 the motor requires several rotations befor it fires up and i would like it to fire up faster , is this a FAST thing or a setting thing?

i have set up the TPS, coolant temp tables, and a/f goal of 14 ish. any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure about Gen3 hemi stuff , but you paid a lot of cash for a FAST 2.0, i'd call FAST tech line and ask them.

I dont know about that exact set up but I am running a fast 2.0 multiport setup on my 440. The fast 2.0 will only do batch fire there is no provision for sequental. Yor can turn up the fuel enrichment to get rid of the flat spot. (think accelerator pump) The setting is in the advanced menue under fuel enrichment, also under that tab is a setting to add fuel while cranking. Play with the settings and it should start faster. Rember it is a self lerning system when I first stomped on mine it would die, I did it again and it stumbled forward about 5 feet and died, after about 5 tries it layed down about 75 feet of rubber and made me smile.  :burnout: If it is pinging you can go into the timing and remove 1 or 2 degrees of advance, you can also play with the advance curve.

The monies spent for this service is WELL spent.  I played with mine for three weeks and I could get it to run perfect, then I took it to these guys, Westech Performance Grohttp://www.westechperformance.com/ They put it on their chassis dyno and now it runs great.

As edl94 I am running mine on a 440.  Fast has a great service department and online web board that can answer your questions.
