Advice needed on new clutch - B&B or B&B/Long

Have read most of the posts here on what the preferences are of the forum members when looking at purchasing a new clutch. Thought I had my mind made up with a McLeod B&B/Long clutch but after speaking with someone today by phone (whose name is well known by most all of you that owns a business that specializes in 4-spd transmissions and clutches), I am now undecided. His recommendation was a standard McLeod B&B pressure plate.

Let me give you my set-up and driving intentions and let you chime in with your opinion and advice:

71 Challenger
440 Magnum (HP unknown but guess around 425)
stock 906 heads
Eddy AVS 1812 carb
Dougs 2" headers
Magnaflow 2.5" X-pipe exhaust
Engle Cam - 517 lift, 235 dur @.50, 108 lobe centers
3.23 sure-grip
15x8 rear wheels with 255/60/15 BFG Rad T/A
143 flywheel - 11" clutch needed

Just finished doing a 3 yr rotisserie restoration and left in old Valeo B&B style PP with performance disc to see how it ran. Lasted only a month before starting to slip and also had a 4th gear synchronizer that needs replacing (didn't rebuild tranny during restoration hoping it was in good shape). So I've removed tranny to do a rebuild and to replace clutch.

Car will be an occasional driver (and frequently driven hard  :burnout:). Maybe will go to local track for an 1/8 mile run for fun once or twice a year. No serious racing intended.

Is the B&B/Long overkill? Am I getting more potential problems than the solutions it may solve? How about pedal pressure comparison between the two styles?

One final area of questions-if I were to go with the B&B/Long, do you think getting one with counterweights is advisable or is that asking for a headache? I've seen a 360900 with no c/w and 2200# plate load, a 360904 with c/w and 2000#, and a 360903 with c/w and 2200# load. Which, if any, would be best in my situation? Also, any advise on clutch disc would be helpful. Standard organic or a performance organic/ceramic?

I run a twin disc B&B Long ,but I have very few miles on it , seems to work very well though

CP, thanks for your reply. It's been partly because of your previous posts I was leaning toward the McLeod B&B Long.  When you say twin disc for your set-up I assume that's a disc that is organic on the PP side and  ceramic/metallic on the flywheel side?

I recently installed a McLeod twin disc, but stayed with their standard RST diaphragm PP.  I'm very happy with it and the clutch pedal is very light compared to the B&B Ram clutch I pulled out.  I'm running a 426 cid LA Stroker with 460HP/520#-ft at the crank.

Believe it or not, Brewers sells that clutch cheaper than Summit or Jegs, which made me very happy to support a Mopar guy.
