Dutch is right.
Take it from an old tire guy who worked on a lot of those things back in the day,
If you don't have to angle them on to the "nubs" and give them a pretty hefty wack with the heel of your hand or preferably a rubber mallet
they aren't right. Once they are on they won't come off without prying them off the "nubs"
The correct tool had a rubber mallet on one side and a metal hook on the other side to pry them off.
