Congratulations to you both! Both are very nice rides. Wow!
My car is far from perfect, some people just feel the need to point out only the things that are wrong with it. I just let it go and talk to those who like it.

Surprises the **** out of me why I win an award.
Needs repainted.  It was judges that picked the cars. Not car owner pick.
The 30 Ford rod is amazing. Has a 74 Lincoln engine. You cannot stand driving behind it from the loud awesome sound that comes out of the pipes.

All that "critiquing" is one reason I took a break from cruise ins. One I remember is this guy saying something to his wife/girl about my car then he sees me sitting behind it. He looks at me and says, " Oh s**t, did you hear what I said". Since I didn't I just said, "No". Then he says, "Oh good, by the way your car has a lot of potential". I wonder if he'd really repeat himself if I were to ask what he said.

What else I'd like to rant about is those cruise ins that advertise "theme nights". Two summers ago I drove to a weekly Friday night one that gave a date on their flyer as "MOPAR NIGHT". Thinking that they'd have dedicated Mopar parking I took my time and got there around 6:00pm. This particular show uses the streets in the downtown core. Well anything and everything had all the prime parking already taken up and i was told to put my car in the lot behind some library. Needless to say, I left. If I want to see that show again I'll take my Avalon and park at the library.

Summer of 2011  My son was in the front of our car taking the photo shoot. I was about 100 ft away.
We have 2  places to cruise Friday nights and 2 places to cruise Satuday nights 2 places on Sunday morning....this in Maryland.
East coast has many cruise nights...........
It is a good time with all makes and models.   Known lot of the car owners since 1984.

i wonder what would happen if a guy took a car that was stored directly from new [i'm taking factory fresh] to a car show. how many would pick it apart? that would be something to listen to. i bet you couldnt go the whole day without some assclown saying something was incorrect. i dont do car shows.

The guy that did the body/paint on my car (Joe) is a Mopar owner, has a Lil Red Wagon. He once had a '69 Dart 340 and was at a show. Some guy comes over, starts looking it over (the owner was very picky) and starts to rag on his muffler clamps saying they were the wrong type. Joe tells him to look closer so he crawls under the car for a close look. Joe then starts and revs the car and they guy cursed him out a good one.

Joe said it was worth it.
