!971 Challenger non-rallye Grill
« on: March 08, 2006 - 12:39:40 AM »
I have your stock run of the mill argent silver 71 challenger grill and im making an R/T clone.  I just bought some "Flexible coat"  SEM landau black at the paint store, how would I go about re-doing my non-R/T grill to make it look like an original black R/T grill?

Hi Stacked, I'm in the process of doing the same thing. The first thing you probably want to do is strip the old TEXTURED paint off the grill. That's the tough part.  As far as the paint to use I'm not sure if SEM is the best or even necessary.  I wasn't considering using SEM.  Anyway, here's a couple of threads you might want to read...

CamJam was nice enough to give me the SEM colors he used and is what I'm planning on too, anybody have anything different to say?

SEM 39143 Trim Black.

The silver I don't have any left but according to the color chart and matching it to the silver on the car it was SEM 39283 Light Titanium Metallic
