'71 Challenger front seats.....need them and need advise

Hey folks.

I just bought a 1971 Challenger (black vinyl interior), and need 2 front buckets.  I really don't care if they are the exact seat the car came with, but more a comfy seat that looks "original" and works nice (reclines, slides up and back nice, etc). 

Can I find 2 nice front seats for $1000?

Looks like seats must be either taboo to talk about, or VERY hard to get.

i see them pop up every now and then on craigslist for around $400-$500 for front buckets, but they always need new covers and usually foam

I would think yes.  Keep in mind that the factory seats do not recline.  There are several threads on here about installing seats from a newer car if you want to go that way.

i have a set of bucket seats and a rear seat from a 70 cuda black vinyl  with a reddish cloth inserts i would sell if your interested .

Procar Rally Series: Vinyl $325 ea. - Leather $755 ea.
Year One sells these for E bodies and seat adapters run about $100 ea.
Classic Industries carries them too. I don't have any experience with them but I like their looks.
