Hey, guys.

It's been awhile since I posted anything here, but my motor is FINALLY out and being rebuilt.

Nothing crazy. Pretty much a stock build with a mild performance cam.

I need new pistons and have been looking at 440 Source. I know there's tons of topics on here about their stroker kits, but what about their "Platinum Series Pistons" and factory replacement rods?

Any advice is appreciated!

I have used approx 12 440 source stroker kits with no issues assuming you check eveything as you assemble the engine so I would say go for it .
I would also seriously consider doing a stroker pkg though

Thought I'd update this one too...

I wasn't able to go with 440 Source pistons (they don't make dished pistons, which I needed for my build) but I DID pick up a set of their Platinum Series rods.

These things are nice. Matched set all weighing in at 761 grams. 7/16 ARP 8740 bolts, etc.

PLUS their shipping is insane... I ordered the parts yesterday @ 3:00pm PST and they were delivered via FedEx today at noon. So approx 21 hrs total. And it was free shipping.

Assuming the rods don't fail, (nervous laugh lol) big thumbs up to 440 Source!

I went with a 440 source stroker kit, but unfortunately I went with the wrong engine builder....Had a little piston to valve clearance issue that proved disasterest  :crying:

That engine builder should retire/quit! That is inexcuseable!
