I just got off the phone with a friend that just came back from the Syracuse car show [over 8,000 cars] Anyways he tells me there was a blue 1971 Challenger hard top with a Shaker and 340 Six Pack, Car had rear tail pipes and no T/A markings. Car was beautifully restored and was claimed to be 1 of 1 with a price tag of $250,000!  Has anyone ever heard of this car? Could it really be a factory installed 340 Six Pack in a 1971.  :dunno:

Like Alan said...highly unlikely that it came from the factory that way.

However, his statement of 1 of 1 is true.....the owner made it 1 of 1, by adding the 6 pac, and T/A stripes on a 71.  :misbehaving:  :smilielol:  :smilielol:

actuate i was there and saw that car! i talked to the guy. it did have n96 on the fender tag, and had a goviar inspection report. it did say 1 of 1. export order, but never left this country. supposed to have been a military guy who ordered it. 28000 miles on it and a barn find. i couldn't stand listening to the owner any longer and left. 2 cars down from him was a purple hemi 71 challenger that man said he bought his car new, and was mostly original both cars were 4 speeds , both cars were beautiful but the man with the hemi car was far more down to earth. all in all it was a grate show. :2thumbs:

Do you know if the owner claims the car to be a factory Six Pack?  If not, what makes it 1 of 1 and worth $250,000?

if memory serves me right it was an R/T, black stripes. a friend may have a picture of it, i think it said R/T on the end of stripe. i don't recall looking at the vin tag it's self. and can't remember what the 5th digit was on the fender tag read. but what i don't get is if there are no records how does goviar brake it down to any car being 1 of 1.  I did get a glance at his report. my friend was more into having me study how the shaker cables were run so we can route and mount for his challenger. :working: :working:
