Electric fuel pump and fan, 73 340 cuda
« on: July 05, 2015 - 01:33:57 PM »
I'm looking for any recommendations or suggestions about adding and electric fuel pump and an electric fan to my 73 cuda. I have a 22" radiator and a holley 650 carb. If I choose to go with EFI at some point will that make a difference. Thanks     Mike

First think you need to do is upgrade the alternator as the stock ones don't put out enough amperage.  :2cents:
Fuel pump.... I'd recommend the Mallory comp series and a good regulator these pumps are quiet, cheaper Holley are very loud.
Electric fan.... I ran the Chevy HHR fan for a few years( cheap $50 from rock auto) worked ok till I upgraded the engine/HP now I have to run a puller and a pusher from these folks. http://rainbowproductsonline.com/shroud-fan-assembly/extreme-coolers.php
Great fans , the most airflow I've found yet but they draw a lot of Amps.
Hope that helps!
