Window hardware question
« on: August 08, 2015 - 04:57:34 PM »
Hello all,
I'm installing the door windows on my 73 Challenger. I recently purchased the hardware kit from Roseville. I have a couple of questions. The hardware kit came with these little pieces of rubber that look like they were cut from tubing. They are shown across the top in picture 1. I have no idea where these go. I compared them to my old ones and my old ones did not have them from what I can tell. If anyone knows what these are for can anyone shed some light on this for me? Secondly, the original windows had these large washers on the opposite side of the rollers in picture 2. These did not come in the new kit. Am I supposed to reuse these or do I not need them? They don't seem to fit with the new hardware where the old ones were.  :clueless: Thanks always,

The rubber hose is used anywhere a metal bolt goes through the glass.  :2cents:
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

Thanks...i figured it out i think. The washers have to be reused. I was thinking that the threaded side fit through the glass then the plastic clip attached to that holding it in place. The washer, then the roller and i was left with the little rubber piece. I believe that you snap the plastic clip onto the threaded side, then put the rubber tube type piece in the hole between the glass. Then the washer and then the roller.
