2 - sometimes i can be a bit of an arrogant NJ Italian. i was at a cruise talking to a friend of mine behind my car. we noticed someone leaning against my fender. so i walk around my car, go up to the guy and say, "nice car, is it yours?" after he says no, i said "well, got your Fu**ing Azz off my fender then."  i got a sorry and he walked away. non car people have no intellect when it comes to cars. they think that it's just like every other car in the world. they don't treat their car with respect so why would they do the same for your car.

:grinyes: where from NJ, i'm in Morris County...

I drove from WA state to the NATS in my 10 PCP 6spd Challenger. While I would love to say I would drive my 70 Challenger, Id be lying. I am way to used to the comfort, speed and convenience of the 10. I did end up getting a speeding ticket in Iowa which sucked despite my brand new radar detector (which work, I was just too fast and too close).

As for the NATS themselves, well it was the first time for me. Probably the last as well, only due to the distance (about 2K). My comments on it are; awesome swap meet, biggest I have ever seen. If you can't find it there they didn't make it. There were some smoking deals on cars as well in addition to some very optimistic sellers (both ends of the spectrum so to speak). As for the show component, I thought it was a bit disorganized, they had a section for LX cars (Modern Muscle), Vipers, and survivors but seems like the classic Mopars it was a bit chaotic. There were some awesome cars in attendance overall. I thought that there was supposed to be a autocross event but didn't see one other than the factory hell cat and viper flogging (giving rides non stop). The people were a bit weird IMO, there seemed to be a lot of true car people which were great, but then there were a lot of people who were just interested in Mopars or cars in general, or saw the event and stopped in for something to do. There were a lot of interesting conversations to be heard; seems most all owned a 426 hemi at some point...

I took about 650 pictures and had a good time overall. Was it worth the drive? Yes it was and I am glad I went. I talked to a lot of cool people and saw some awesome cars. I think about every hell cat produced was there, they seemed to be everywhere. The vendor area was cool and I picked up some good items like a new grille from Vans. Good thing I didn't take my 2500, I might have hauled back larger items... :)
