My $3000 Trunk Mat....
« on: August 14, 2015 - 08:56:04 PM »
'member the other day I posted this EBay ad for a ridiculously priced trunk mat...  http://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-PLYMOUTH-HEMI-CUDA-ORIGINAL-TRUNK-MAT-383-440-340-6-PACK-PART-3415648-/161789449630?vxp=mtr   :scared:

Well fast forward two weeks and today I'm helping this guy pick up a 70 Barracuda that he bought....nobody had seen in the trunk, not even the owner until I got there and was able to open it up....

Here's what I found:
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

...so it's a little dirty, and since the new owner gave it to me....I think I should ask closer to $5000 because it's not all torn up like the EBay one :money:

On a more serious note...There's going to be a lot of parts coming off this 70 318 Barracuda that will be for sale !
Complete front & rear seats, some black interior parts, 4spd pedals, steering column, heater box, dash parts, disc brakes, 8 3/4 rear end, etc...etc...

If you need something, PM me and I can give you his info when he's ready to sell.....better if you live in this area of Ontario

:roflsmiley:....did you look at the bottom to make sure it had the correct factory stamping......"uradumass" ...I believe that's what the new owner of the one on eBay said it had on it....but hey go for it!  I've seen crazier things happen!

Wow, time to retire with what you'll get for that find!!
I still have the original from my T/A, sadly it's in pieces.
I have one of the ones MCO was selling in the late 80s that was made of the correct material. Sadly after sitting on several different shelves rolled up for over 25 years it has several splits and tears.  I may use it in the car anyway, looks a lot better than the cheap plastic junk being sold as repro trunk mats today.  Why someone doesn't step up to the plate and make good repro trunk mats for Mopars baffles me!!!  :clueless:
