70 Challenger front lighting harness.
« on: August 29, 2015 - 03:43:12 PM »
Year One backorder, part # HU208E. We called YO the other day about our backorder, they have no idea when they will get them. And they are the only distributor of the M&H harness. So if anybody has one we will buy it, trade for it, beg for it  :roflsmiley:, trade for ours when we get it ( will pay ship both ways, even Canada ). My goal is having the car ready for the Don Garlits show in November, this is holding us up.  Just a shot in the dark.  Thanks in advance.

Thanks WildR/T.  Went thru Classic's web site, no luck. M&H states in their web site " sold exclusively thru Year One"
I'm just hoping somebody that purchases these in bulk , when on sale, that might have one he won't need for awhile could help a brother out. Even from  :canada:  OK, now I'm begging   :walkaway:     :roflsmiley:   Easy to send thru post office for you guys that don't ship parts. I'm paying back and forth remember.

Jamie at Mega Parts also carries M&H wire harnesses... :2cents:  http://www.megapartsusa.com/proddetail.asp?prod=124-HU208E

If you're truly in a hurry buy a Bill Evans wire harness, their quality is almost as good :2thumbs: http://www.evanswiring.com/

I think I have a used harness, I also should have a 1974 harness maybe you could modify.

Good luck with your Bill Evans harness.... I've used three so far... Two needed to have connectors relocated in the bulkhead connector & one had a bad crimp... Either I'm unlucky or you might want to inspect your harness thoroughly....

I really wish M&H would open up to more vendors...

Good advice on the Evans wiring to check it over first.....unfortunately it's that way with about 95% of reproduction parts in general :2cents: I've had loose connections with M&H too....

My buddy who I helped install the hemi had bad luck with the evans kit too. It caught fire on the plug on the valve cover. Luckily he was right there when it happened. Lots of other terminals just easily pulled right out. Evans did warrantee it but my buddy soldered all the connections before he installed it again. Not impressed!

Yea I always double check new harnesses. The M&H rear harness had two wires in the wrong place in the connector up @ the dash. The engine wiring harness ( Hemi modified ) was truly a piece of junk that I completely rebuilt. So I'll let ya;ll know about the Evans harness. And it's not a matter of more suppliers of M&H, they don't mfg enough to keep one supplier in stock.   :clueless:
