TCI or B&M
« on: May 19, 2005 - 12:58:15 PM »
Alright, about to order a new converter for the 727.  Figured I could save some $$ at this point in time by just using the trusty 727.  But I am planning on oneday going to the 518!

This 360 has a ~.460 lift cam and AirGap intake.     The car is mainly a street cruiser.  No plans to race it, Just ride around look nice and burn a bit of rubber now and then.  I know that TCI has a what they call a +5 converter that is just a bit above stock, and B&M has a comparable converter.   Who do you guys use and reccomend?   Also, what range stall do you all reccomend?

Thanks for all of the help and thoughts!

Chryco,

I was afraid you were gonna say that,  It  was in the motor when I bought it.  It is a bit warmer than stock and all they could remember is that is was around a .460 lift??   Anything that I post would be a guess.  :dontknow: :banghead:

I happend onto this deal  that included this complete motor, another 360 that is disassembled, and that 8.75 rear axle with the 3.91 posi out of a Duster.  $400 and I got it all.

Info was limited, but I did replace the intake on the motor and pulled the heads and it looked really nice, no wear.

I don't know but TCI is what most gurus recommend even though a lot of the pieces are used by all the manufactures.

I would never use any B&M stuff.  :grinno: :ack:
