Tach adapter
« on: November 09, 2015 - 08:44:58 PM »
Guys, any of you using MSD:s tach adapter no 8920?

Got a new rallye tach from Classic and the tech guy there advised that i need an adapter between the tach and my electronic (hall effect) distributor.
Got the above adapter and installed it behind drivers side kick panel. Everything works fine and the rpm:s are spot on. But, the adapter is really noisy, buzzing like a i-dont-know-what...
Checked all the wiring incl ground and all is fine.

Have e-mailed MSD:s tech dep but no reply.

So, hopefully someone has this adapter. Should it really be like this?

70 Barracuda Gran Coupe
And on the side:
67 Pontiac GTO
63 Lincoln Continental

Thanks, dodj, appreciated!

Confirmed then that i have an issue. Saw that MSD have a few different versions of the adapter depending on type of dist. Will investigate.

BTW, nice pic of your car for the calendar, congrats!
