A crushed car.  If I buy it I will check it for sure.

All I know now is complete ta 340 6 pack 4sp.  Complete as pulled from the car.  Anybody have a ta or aar missing drive train?

I am missing my original motor and trans.  The car was in OK in the early 70s, got repo'd and ended up in WI with regular 340 motor.  My car's VIN - 292842

Thanks

If I get the info, I will post it up.  We will see what happens.  If I pass on the deal (which is likely as I am not a numbers matching kinda guy) I will point you guys toward it!

Alright guys.

It turns out this is the same motor that has been floating around for a while. Here is the old Moparts thread on it.  I think the guy is legit but that the motor has changed hands a couple times up there in the eastern PA region.  No history, what you see is what I know.  Looks like a block vin of 0B294599 and a trans vin of 0B186206.  Either way, not awful if you are into a correct clone...  I am not.  Pictures are the same as in the ebay ad linked on Moparts.

He said on the phone he is "taking bids..." I am not playing that game.

Apparently I'm missing the joke... He shows the engine, it has the correct air cleaner on it.... When I got my T/A it too had a 318 in it...  They bolt right up, fill the hole & take a car with a blown motor from yard art to transportation.... Sure it has plenty wrong but there's plenty thats right too.... He shows the body stampings, they match the VIN, IMO it's a great color combo... It lacks a rally dash, it has a 71 ^ dash pad.... It's probably missing the dash VIN tag...  It's a product of the 80's when these were just cars.... Personally I'd love to have it.... But I need another project like I need another hole in my head....

you are 100% right

It's just uncommon and kinda funny to see. However if this car isn't re-bodied it would be a prime spot to dump this T/A engine into.

I have seen a few a bodies with six pack set ups, they looked pretty darn cool. can't attest to how much get up and go they offer.

you aren't wrong, it's just funny to see a high power setup on the lowly 318. it would be the equivalent to putting a 6pack setup on my Slant 6 http://www.ebay.com/itm/CHRYSLER-DODGE-PLYMOUTH-SLANT-6-TRIPLE-DCOE-CONVERSION-/271906017522

I do get the joke, but just for fun:

I like the car too! Unless I am missing something, it is a radio delete car as well.   :woo:
