HOW TO REMOVE SUN VISOR FROM HARDWARE
« on: November 22, 2015 - 01:06:14 PM »
I have to replace a couple of sun visors and I am having difficulty trying to remove the sun visor from the hardware. Any tricks? Your help is appreciated.

Really? They're just a friction fit slide-on? Will separating them effect the friction fit. Wouldn't want them to start flopping down afterwards.

Fristion fit... If yours are loose slide it off, sandwich in cardboard & use a vise to tighten the fit....

Mine aren't loose but I want to repaint the metal mounting hardware and removing the visor from that would make it easy. Just don't want it loose when it goes back together. Thanks for the tip.

Try WD-40, spray a lot of it!!! I bought a green sunvisor from  :ebay: and I twisted and pull but I tore it off a little in the edge. I then "bathed" the sunvisor with WD-40 twist and pull then again WD-40, came out pretty fast. Then I used a little grease when I painted it and put it back in...

No need to apologize, thanks everyone for the feedback, it worked well. Once I hit the them with WD40 they came apart no problem. Sweet!  :clapping:

Natrovia!
