I found one on ebay but the guy is not sure if it will fit a 440. the casting number is 2468370 were can I find info on this bell housing ? He said the bell housing is from a 1965 B BODY 361 OR 383 BIG BLOCK  10 I/2" CLUTCH thanks

That has the small bearing retainer hole. So it would depend on the bearing retainer size on your transmission. A later transmission will not fit. :2cents:

it is a A-833 3 speed with Overdrive transmission from the Mid-1970's .  3rd gear is actually Overdrive with a .073 to 1 ratio, and 4th gear is direct 1 to 1 ratio

Eee: I don't think anyone makes a big block bellhousing that will work with one of those. They have a huge bearing retainer.

Cost less that $20 each at a machine shop.

Have the 5.25 retainer on the trans turned down to 4.80 and have the bell housing 4.35 opened up to 4.80. have them leave a few thousands for a close fit.

This is how I put the 833OD behind my small block with mismatched parts.
