Not sure how many have been tracking Project Ultra Violet, but it was an amazing build that the Detroit Muscle guys did. This is one of the more informative shows, usually on Velocity channel.
Here is a summary video (I only found this on FB):

http://www.powernationtv.com/shows/detroit-musclePowerNation's Detroit Muscle is producing one of the most aggressive and advanced resto-mod projects ever undertaken on television. "Project: Ultra Violet" is an eight-episode TV build that follows the step-by-step transformation of a rusted out '70 Challenger into a Hemi powered G Machine wrapped in Plumb Crazy Purple paint.
Its rotisserie restoration details extensive body working techniques, including how to replace the roof, floor and trunk pans plus how to fabricate new A-pillars, cowel and shaker hood. Classic Industries supplied all of the Mopar Authentic Restoration parts used, including sheet metal panels, interior, bumpers, trim and emblems.
The series also reveals how to stiffen and update the original Dodge uni-body with a Schwartz Performance G Machine chassis. Designer Jeff Schwartz helps install this new super handling rolling chassis with four link coil overs, big disc brakes and custom wheels.
The car is powered by an Indy Cylinder Head all-aluminum 426 Hemi Legend crate engine fed by a dual FAST fuel injection system and breathes through a Magnaflow stainless exhaust. This 515-horse V8 features Indy's Gen 2 aluminum low deck "B" block that corrects header clearance issues inherent in Mopar applications.
