addco rear sway bar frame hole location
« on: June 22, 2016 - 10:15:23 PM »
got my challenger on the rotisserie and i'm going to be adding a addco rear sway bar eventually but i'd like to beef up the frame where the ubolt will be install. anyone have a measurement from the axle bumper to the first hole so i can get this right. i've looked everywhere and can't find anything. thanks whoever might have the answer.

I thought the frame rail was dimpled where the bolts would go?

I had that u-bolt arrangement in my car but have since removed it and welded a reinforcement over the area so I can't give you the measurement I had. I think you will have to mock it up, but be sure to reinforce the frame. That u-bolt design will tear through it if you don't  :2cents:

My u-bolt started to tear thru,  so I took an 1/8" plate and put it in between the rail and the bracket.

thats my plan also to beef up the area but with the axle out i can't mock it up which is why i am looking for the measurment so i know where to weld in my extra metal.
