Porting stealth heads worth it?

I have a 512 being built by a local machine shop. I just dropped off my stealth head and holley sd intake. Is it worth having them ported from a cost to power received standpoint? What kind of cost would I be looking at on average? I doubt I'll disassemble it once it's together so I'm thinking of doing it once and being done for awhile...

I would for sure with 512 inches. Stock Stealths would be pretty small ports for 512 inches.

Makes sense to me also . core shift , port alignment & overall size inrease should be worth it , probably $600 range to get them ported unless you CNC them

What's the rest of the build? What are your expectations?

If your ok under 700 hp, then go for it. Don't expect to run in the top rpms, remember that you are building a grunt engine. Get a plan and stay with it. Then it will serve you for years

Just a hot street engine, will make the occasional strip apperance.

10:1 compression, eagle crank, diamond pistons, eagle rods, howard lifters, comp cam pro magnum rockers, lunati hydrualic roller, holley sd intake, etc. Don't plan on taking it apart once it's together so thinking of doing it once and being done.

10 3/4 is better and the aluminum heads closed chamber will not detinate with 93 pump gas.

my builder ported mine.  He had a template for a stock based head, and took out a bunch of aluminum.  He cut a bigger valve and upgraded the valve and valve hardware.  520 inches, 11:1 compression, 6bbl.  555hp 640 tq at 5000rpm.  Once I got the timing dialed in and the carbs set up, no issues on 93 octane.  If it is hot and I could only get 91 octane, I don't put my foot in it very deep just to be safe.
