Cuda production numbers.

Sorry to bring this up so late, but....I have a 72 Cuda with a 340 and a 3 speed from the factory....its a one of 22 or 25 made that year....Fairly rare regarding numbers, but the condition of it is too far gone, most likely....and with the original motor/trans being gone, it will most likely never be resurrected....

With any make or model you can not go with percentages. You have to go by whats known to exist. Percentages are very misleading and do not reflect the actual numbers made. I go through this all the time when someone tries to place their AAR in a one of one category. Since starting the registry it has grown from 700+ AAR's to over 1600 In that period the amount of different colors have grown too. Even supposed production numbers have grown too. Remember for years they kept saying there were only 7 1971 hemi cuda convertibles.. then it was 11..then 14 and it keeps growing.  I have a small list of about 177 73 e-bodies from the old SIAC car club records but they are both cuda and challenger. No 'Cuda 4 speed cars on the list with the color combination you mention. 2 challengers though.

Where can I confirm that info ? My 72 Cuda was originally 340/3spd, now 360/4spd though.

Interesting, mine is BS23H with D13 trans, but doesn't appear on that list. Does that mean that they didn't sell 'Cuda's with the 3 speed man. trans ?

Yeah I saw the 25, but that appears under the Barracuda list of eng / trans.
Under 'Cuda it only lists the auto or 4spd option with 340, although these 2 totals do not add up to the total 'Cuda number (6973) so I assume there must be other combos not accounted for here.

Those 25 are for the BH (base model) Barracuda, and not the BS ('cuda).  I had populated the Wikipedia site years ago from data i had in my old SIAC newsletter that had published the production numbers: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Plymouth_Barracuda/Production_totals

It did not have the BS breakdowns, only the BH for some reason.  Maybe somebody out there has more better info? 
(Oh, i used to have a 1 of 65 3-spd slant 6 Barracuda convertibles, and yes, all 3-spd equipped cars had the ball shifter.)
