    Anybody know home security cameras?

    I'm considering buying a Lorex DNR system with 1080 HD IP Cameras through Costco... Some good reviews, some say it's crap.. But then go on to try selling you a system thats 3-4 times as much $$$... As much as I'm on the road I figure I can justify the cost of this but I'm not dropping 4-5K on a system... Anyone with real hands on experience? Thanks!

    I have the dropcam and ring/nest stuff. Get motion alerts and great quality video playbacks

    Have the Swann hd dvr system at our vacation place. Got the one that is hard wired to the dvr so I don't have to have power where the cameras were mounted. Was simple to install, just ran the cables from under the eaves, through the attic and into a storage room close to my internet router. Can dial in from just about anywhere and make sure everything looks ok.  Costco had the best price on it as well.

     Son-in-law has the one from Cosco, bought last year and they said it works great! We were just talking about it last night. I don't know what brand it is. I could ask if you want.

    Im in  the buisness...

    But i do commercial high end systems, lorex has been around for a while , now the are owned by flir .   They have always been a good affordable product for home and small business.

    If you pm me the  link to the kit you want to get ill look at it ..  Some of the ip cam kits are propriitary with there connections , then when its time to add or replace cams  it gets expensice.
