Well, the car does not have original engine. So if anyone needs a 78 date 318 with tranny, we have it. We are not restoring the car and will build a 440 6 pack out of this 73 RV motor/trans. Plan on leaving rust on motor and patina on car. Wolf is sheep's clothing deal.

Welcome to the site and good luck with your build! Leaving the patina on the car and engine? Sort of a Farmtruck deal? Very cool sleeper! :grinyes:

Do you know Joe Teuton from Southland Flyer fame? I had my small block built by Southland Performance in Gray, LA by him and, if I remember correctly, his brother in law. I believe they were still racing the A-body Cuda Southland Flyer. I used to live in Mississippi just over the state line off I-10.

Yes I know the Teutons well and travel with them to hemi shootouts as a teammate of the Gulf Coast Hemis. We start next month.

Back on the Chally, that rusty rv motor is perfect on the inside. Crosshatch still in bores etc. Very low compression so a set of small chamber aluminum heads and a cam kit along with the six pack should be ok on pump junk. Getting Rustique paint for the new intake and pan. Keep the Farm Car look.

Welcome to the site! Was only in Looziana once- NOLA and it seemed to be an interesting place. Nice cars you've got, too.

With the help of a Moparts 6P tuning guide we have it tuned and running nice in the shop. Unfortunately it is a little damp out for a road test. Spark plugs and wires with Hookers very interesting and NEVER put headers on before starter. Rookie mistake.

Running vacuum outer. Outboard carb bleeds all the way in and out 1/8 turn. 195 thermostat etc as the guide suggested. Looks like junk but runs like a scalded dog!!!!

Welcome to the site from Gonzales, Louisiana!

Will you be at the BEMA (big easy Mopar association) car show down in New Orleans next week?

It's at the lakefront in Kenner

Started two new threads, need factory sunroof help and trying to give the 318/904 away to get it out of the shop. 1978 318 with different vin of course. FARM CAR 440-6 looks like heck, runs and sounds great. Thank you Mouton Motors in SW La. and Rustique paint from the UK.
