Adjusting the "pitch or throw" on 70 Chally door handles

70 Challenger.
New door handles and hardware,,,etc,, all hooked up,,,works,,,no issues,,,

I thought i had read a post that you can adjust the "throw or pitch" of the external handle ??
ie,,,when I open the door from the outside and lift up on the handle,,,,it seems i have to move the handle alot to disengage the lock,,,,

I thought Alan had mentioned there was an adjustment somewhere on the mechanism,,,that allows you to shorten the throw when you lift up on the handle...

Has anyone hear of this ??

The thicker rod that connects to the handle at the point it attaches to the latch has threads, just lengthen the adjustment there.. You don't actually thread the adjustment, you pop the clip & reposition it....

I figured it out, there is actually a access hole in the door, you can thread a Allen wrench through the opening to gain access to a screw which I adjusted. The pitch and throw on the handle is much better now. I did not have to adjust any clamp or unscrew any rods.
 Took about 30 seconds to adjust, much better now, I just have to lift the handle up a small amount and the door disengages,
