Hello from Minnesota
« on: February 23, 2016 - 10:22:53 AM »
I have been a Mopar fan all my life. My first car was a !970 lemon twist Dart Swinger 340 3-speed. Years later I was able to acquire my dream car, A numbers matching 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 440 4-speed dana car. FJ5 Sublime, black vinyl top with side stripes. The old Dodge was made into a street machine with a dark metallic blue paint and a diamond tuck velour interior. After driving her for a few years, I realized everything was tired and worn out. So it was time to do a full restoration. I had every intention to make this a quick job and get her back on the road asap. Well this did not go as planned. 11 years later the car is still blown apart with a lot of work to be done. Now its time to finish the project. I am here to share my journey ask for advice and just share with fellow Mopar fanatics my lon journey of realizing my dream car. Here are a few pics of  my dream.

Any pictures of the car pre tear down? I grew up in ND and a lot of cars flowed back and forth between MN and ND. Looks like you have a good start and most on here know all about delays, mission creep and obstacles. No worries, this site is a great repository of knowledge and advice (whether you want it or not...).

Welcome from WA state.

Welcome to the site and congrats on scoring your dream car! As for it taking 11 years- don't feel TOO bad- I think it's perilously near 33 for me, so think of yourself as an ambitious go-getter!
