Master cylinder bore size?
« on: February 09, 2016 - 12:23:45 PM »
After changing over to Wilwood all wheel disc brakes I've been using a 40 year old disc/drum power brake master. I'm going to change to the proper all disc master. Old style Mopar power brakes were pretty touchy on the peddle feel. What's is a good master cylinder bore size that will give me a peddle feel a little closer to a manual brake feel?

Lots of variables Rotor size, pad material, number of pistons, diameter of pistons..  If you care to do the math... http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/1235219/disc-brakes-all-the-math-that-you-never-wanted-to-know.html#Post1235219

Otherwise start with a 1" M/C & see what you get.... Smaller = less pedal effort & more pedal travel... No reason to buy a $200 billet M/C when a $40 lron one will do, buy a 1" & see how it works, if you need something else you didn't waste allot of $$$
