Exhaust cut-outs
« on: March 16, 2016 - 02:27:32 PM »
I am ready to put the exhaust back on but want to put cut-outs on (cool factor) but have no idea what is the best. I know every one has something the other doesn't but I thought I would check with "real world" people on what they are using. TIA

I have no experience but was considering a T/A style exhaust that worked off cutouts. From my online research it sounds like Dougs design are the most durable?

The other brands/style seems like the motors don't last very long due to heat I'd guess?
Hope that helps?

:iagree:    We put the Dougs on the Challenger based on the fact I installed a set on a 57 Chevy a couple years ago.  He uses them every chance he gets , never  a problem.    And the knife edge design is leak proof.   :2thumbs:   Highly recommend.

What scares me are the reviews those are getting on Summit. They don't seem to last that long.

I have Doug's on my Cuda. I just put them on so don't have any feedback on how they will work however my buddy put some on his Coronet and has run them for 3 years. He did have some issues with one jamming up but tore it down and tightened up all the screws and used locktight and haven't had an issue since!
